One of the first 4K videos on YouTube was this 4K Biosphere of the world nature video. The video contains many amazing scenes of nature and animals and insects up close and personal so you can even count the hairs on their legs! So I squeamish beware, the spider eating its food might be a bit much. The is the director Jennifer Athena’s extended cut video containing aerial cinematography as well as under water footage of sharks, jellyfish and other sea creatures and even into outer space all viewable in amazing super hi-vis ultra HD quality.
The video itself was created to highlight the effects of global warming on our planet and uses some very sophisticated CG art to showcase some of the planets living beings and how they live in the world through all the changes to the environment. This was probably the Panasonic AG-DVX200 4K 4096 x 2160 handheld camcorder or the cheaper Panasonic HC-X1000E 4K camcorder, both capable of recording in ultra HD with their 4K lenses. The team are now working with RED and Panasonic 4K camera crew to make a new full 4K video in New York. We’ll be looking out for that!
